Banff National Park : Sulphur Mountain and Samson Peak

Today I did my first hike as a new Canadian citizen :)

Being Canadian means a lot to me and I'm very happy to be part of the country !

I LOVE CANADA !



but no worries,

I STILL LOVE FRANCE !

At the summit of Sulphur Mountain there was no French flag LOL !

I hiked the Sulphur Mountain, the Mountain close to Banff accessible with the gondola.

How to get there :
Once you're in Banff, just follow the indication, it's 2.5 kilometers from downtown. The trail starts at the Upper Hot Springs parking lot and gains 700 m of elevation.

Some people would certainly say :
"Why didn't you take the gondola to get there ?"

Hum, may be because I'm still in shape to have a walk, or may be because this is a beautiful trail that let me appreciate the Sulphur Mountain instead of going up so quickly with the gondola without having the time to enjoy the scenery, or may be because Norman Sanson used this trail more than 1000 times in the beginning of the 20th century to go to the summit to observe the weather and it was a wink to him ...
