There were tons of cars on the Highway 1 with the long weekend.
But the good news was that most of them were going to ski resorts :)
I decided to go to Taylor Lake today (mix hiking-snowshoeing). The trail is through dense forest and keeps you in shape as there is a an elevation of about 600 meters to get there. It will not be in my best hikes list but it was cool, and taking a sunbath at the end of the lake was very pleasant. And guess what ? I didn't see anybody during the hike. It was unbelievable !
How to get there ?
Take the Trans Canada Highway in direction to Lake Louise. The parking lot is on the left about 8 km west of Eisenhower junction on the Trans Canada Highway. Look carefully for the parking lot because it's not indicated.
From there you face Castle Mountain which is on the other side of the Bow Valley.
